Outfit: October overview

Hi dear all,

October went by so fast! It's unbelieveable, time flies when you're having fun! October has been a busy month, with lots of flights and nice blogging events! Besides that, I had some lovely collaborations with webshops, which you can see in november. And the best thing: we're going on holiday tomorrow! Yay!

And for this month? Well, lots of burgundy as you can see! And I wore lots of dresses, turned summer ones into fall-ready outfits. Which one is your favorite? My personal favorite is the very first outfit on the left on top. The burgundy sweater combined with the peach shorts: I loved it! This outfit was also really loved on chictopia. What do you think? Let me know! :)

Outfit: Think pink

Hi everyone!

Together with my mum (who takes all my pictures) I went to a small park in Wormerveer. I've already done some outfit shoots there, it's the perfect location during every season. You can see my previous outfit shoots in this park over here. Besides that: it's really quiet! Perfect because I hate it when other people stare at me.

I'm wearing a vintage inspired cute printed playsuit which I found during at a fleamarket named "de ijhallen". I already showed this playsuit to you in my thriftshopping shoplog a month ago. So it was finally time to wear it. I decide to make this playsuit wearable for autumn and added a nice pink sweater. What do you think of the final look?

Outfit: It's a pug life

Hi everyone!

This is the outfit I wore to the Urban Outfitters opening in Amsterdam. I decided to go for a cute vintage inspired playsuit with a pug print (I just love pugs, don't you?!) and a peter pan collar. I own way too many playsuits and dresses, but this one might actually be my favorite! It's so comfortable and cute, I just love it!

And just three more days until my holiday! I'm so excited! Still have no clue whatsoever where we're going. It's going to be last minute work for sure, but oh well! South Africa (Capetown) is still very high on our list, but we might book a last minute if the flight to cape town is full.

Event: Urban outfitters in Amsterdam!

Hello y'all!

I'm a very lucky girl with my job as a flight attendant: I'm able to see all these amazing cities all in europe. That's how I discovered the Urban Outfitters store. It's very popular in the United Kingdom and every time I visit the UO shop I am in fashion wonderland :)

Urban Outfitters is a store with original, vintage inspired clothing. They have their own very cool brand, but also sell other labels such as House of Holland and Cheap Monday. Besides that I love the variety of products and clothing they offer in the shops: besides clothes they also sell books, jewelry, shoes, bags and all kinds of very cool stuff for your home.

And now the good news: Urban Outfitters has opened a store in Amsterdam! Yes people, shopping has just become even better in Amsterdam! The store is huge, the collection is amazing and the interior of the store is beyond cool. And don't forget to bring your boyfriend: the mens department has the coolest stuff! I had a fantastic day during the press event and got to see it all. There were nice beverages and delicious snacks, I got my nails done, there were wonderfull people and even an amazing gift! Thanks again Millie, it was a wonderfull day!

FLYING: Trondheim

Hi dear all,

Two weeks ago it was time to enjoy the autumn colors of Trondheim, Norway. As a flight attendant I'm going on nightstops/layovers several times a week. This nightstop was pretty perfect: we took a tram to go up to the mountains to see a beautiful lake.

I've been to Trondheim already a couple of times, and I'm always in for something fun. Since it was not my firs time here, I'm pretty familiar with the city itself and the highlights. But I've never heard of this lake or that you can take a tram into the mountains, this was all new stuff for me! And it was a great experience!

The ride itself was amazing: such a beautiful view! If you want to do the same: take the tram and go to the final stop 'Lian'. The lake was gorgeous and the orange colored trees looked so beautiful, it was a breathtaking view!

Outfit: Utrecht

Hi cuties,

During a day in Utrecht with my boyfriend, we took some outfit pictures next to the canal. It's very pretty, especially now the leaves started to fall. We had a super fun and relaxed day and we're making a photo book from our Thailand adventures. Can't wait to pick it up from the store, I'm very curious how it turned out!

I hope you're all doing well! My holiday is coming up in less than a week, and we're going to Cape Town, south africa! So stay tuned for more holiday pictures, hihi!

FLYING: Bristol

Hello everyone!

Finally, after a year without , I had a nightstop/layover in Bristol, UK. I already wrote about Bristol and how much I love it a while ago, so it was good to be back.

So why is it exactly that I love this british destination so much? Well let me start telling you about the shops: they have EVERYTHING. A HUGE primark with stuff you can't buy in the Netherlands. Besides that they have an urban outfitters, topshop, dorothy perkins and many many more. And it's all just around the corner of my hotel: perfect!

I also love the food: they have several good restaurants but I prefer going to Wagamama's or Jamie's Italian (jumjum!). But there are so many restaurants it's hard to make a decission! Anyway, during a sunny day you can chill in the park. It's a beautiful park and again, very close to my hotel. During the evening the squirrels will start squirreling around. So cute! They are not afraid of the people, so it's super fun to see them looking for food.

So yes, it was an absolute pleasure to be back in Bristol, I just love my job as a flight attendant!

Outfit: Birdstrike

Hi sweethearts,

I just got back from a five day trip on an early schedule. I'm so tired, my alarmclock went off every morning between 4 and 5 AM. It's hard to keep my eyes open at this point.

So after 3 flights I came back home today and because the weather was so beautiful, my mum and I decided to do an outfit shoot in the park nearby. We've already done several shoots here, because it's so beautiful! But today was even more amazing, since it was surrounded by orange and yellow trees. Perfect!

And while entering the park, we noticed so many ducks! It was like crazy, and they weren't shy at all! They came pretty close, as they thought we had bread. Which we forgot ofcourse. But they still seemed to like us anyway, haha!

The holiday is coming closer and closer and we're probably trying to go to Cape Town in two weeks, I can't wait! With trying I actually do mean trying, because we're going on 'staff travel'. This means we can fly really cheap, but only if there are seats available on a flight. And cape town is a popular destination, so cross the fingers the flight is not full!

TRAVEL: Antwerpen

Hi dear all,

During one of our days off the boy and I decided to take the train for a 2 hour ride down south and crossed the border with Belgium all the way to Antwerp.

Antwerp has been on my "must see" list for a long time, so now I can finally tick that box! It was an easy train ride from Utrecht and the city itself is very beautiful. We walked via the big market to the riverside and saw a couple of highlights from this amazing Belgium city.

But what would Antwerp be without all the shops? It's like fashion heaven for a true fashionista. You see, we don't have Forever21 in the Netherlands. We do have Urban Outfitters, finally, but only since last week. So you can imagine I had to do a little bit more than just window shopping.

I end up buying nothing due to the lack of money. However I wanted to have all the stuff from 'Camille over the rainbow' for Pimkie. Such an amazing collection! I loved all the pieces she designed, but maybe I'll buy something later during this season. Anyway, enough chitchat, I'll show you the pictures and I hope you like them :)

Outfit: Expectations

You know the situation when you've dreamed, hoped and wished for something and maybe even prayed that things would turn out positive in your way? Well, sometimes it looks like reality is against you, conflicting with your expectations.

I feel a bit sad. I've been hunting for promotion at work, I know I can do it and I know I have all it takes to get the promotion. But it just turned out it was not meant to be. The promotion, you know. While I'm more than pleased with my job, I actually love my job, was this promotion something I wanted for a long time. Nevertheless I still do love my job and my airline a lot. But this promotion was so more than welcome.

Anyway, enough about my expectations which didn't align with the reality. Maybe in the future they will. Today I'm showing you an outfit with my asos shorts and h&m blouse. A fun combi for fall, I hope you like it!

Outfit: New furry buddy

Hi dear all,

It was time to take my vintage levi's 501 out of the dust. I found them two years ago in the thriftstore, waiting for me to bring them home for just 2 euro. They have been my favorite for such a long time, but dissapeared to the back of my closet during this summer. But I found them again, and love them again.

The levi's look well with my new furry buddy: a cardigan from Primark. I have been looking for nice cardigans for the upcoming winter season, but it's so difficult! I bought this cardi a couple of sizes too big, because I like my stuff to be oversized. Together with my doggy print blouse from Primark I think it's a cute combination. What do you think?

Outfit: Do it all again

Hi dear all,

My boyfriend and I finally have a lot of days off together! Which means I'm spending a lot of time in Utrecht, and I must say that I start to like it over there. It's close to the forest, has a lot of nice shops and restaurants and is just not as crowded as Amsterdam.

And a while ago my boyfriend bought a bike for me which we 'pimped' a little bit. You can see it over here. Anyway, we cycled to a park and enjoyed the nature just outside the big city. The autumn leaves are finally here, so I took some nice pictures with a 'fall' vibe. It was another lovely day. I hope you like the pictures :) P.s: it would be amazing if you would 'LIKE' my facebook page! Please click here! :)

Outfit: Backlight

Hi dear all,

During a thriftshopping session last month I ran into this beautiful dress which is originally from Primark. It's also a bit too big (size 40, I'm a size 34). But I like my dresses to be oversized.

This dress was just 4,50 so it had to come home with me. And with this cute print it is very easy to add a nice burgundy scarf. I kinda like burgundy a lot, can't help it. It was a beautiful day today, with temperatures around 16 degrees, warm for this time of the year, but perfect for comfortable and lightweight dresses. :)

Outfit: Falling for fall

Hi cuties,

My boyfriend and I love to do active things together. We usually grab out bikes and try to discover new and fun places. This time we took the car because it was a bit too far. But we headed to the forest close to Utrecht for a little bit of relaxing and enjoying the beautiful nature.

The forest is still looking green, but you can definitely tell that the colors will change soon. I just love the autumn colors. And as you might have noticed I'm wearing a lot of burgundy lately, a color I love to wear in autumn. It's great to see the colors change and the leaves fall. The forest looks magical at this time of the year. I can't wait untill the forest is ready for fall and will show you pictures as soon as possible! Everything is so beautiful right now! :)

STEWARDESS: Niet zomaar een maatschappij

Hi dear all,

I found this beautiful short youtube movie on facebook. Meet the dutch airline KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines), who are super inventive and turned a plane into a cinema. They have done so many cool things, but seeing this movie made my eyes tear a little bit. It's too cool!

Outfit: Head in the clouds

Hi boys and girls,

Hope you are all doing fine! Today I'm wearing a comfortable outfit with a blazer from h&m which I found in my favorite thrifstore! The blouse is thrifted as well. I just love thrifting, as you probably already know :)

Soooo another question because of my lack of inspiration: where should I go on holiday in november? We're going for just 1 week and we want to go outside of europe. So if you have any good tips, please do share :)

Outfit: Take a ride with me

Hello boys and girls,

Today was the perfect day to take my bike out for a ride. I bought this secondhand bike back in August and already wrote something about it here. It's a really old one and I love it so much!

For the outfit: I wore my snuggly knitted cardigan from New Yorker which I bought last year. It's by far my favorite cardigan and I would love to have it in more colors. I combined it with my forever21 shorts and a vintage look top from Primark. I hope you like it :)

Outfit: Six months together

Hi dear all,

On october the 1st, my boyfriend and I celebrated the fact that we're together for 6 months. We've been together for a while, but he asked me officially on april 1st to be his girlfriend. I'm so happy, he's not only my love but also my best friend.

We had a really nice diner at restaurant 'de markt' in utrecht, they have the best italian food! Which I ofcourse really love, you can wake me up for a dish of pasta! We're going to Antwerpen next week, so stay tuned! Hope you like the pictures we took in Utrecht :) Such a beautiful city!

Outfit: Be the reason someone smiles today

Hi dear all,

This is what I wore during my shopping spree in Amsterdam, de Ijhallen to be exact. I already told you about spending less money (which doesn't really make sense if you look at my shoplog from the ijhallen, but oh well...) and I found this pants in my closet from two years ago. It's from Mango and I wore it previously in Toulouse during the autumn as well. You can see my other combination with these pants when you click here.

For this shopping session I decided to wear a comfortable, loose but still chic top which I found in the thriftstore a couple of months ago. It just had to come home with me. What do you think of this autumn look?

FLYING: Alesund

Hi cuties,

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure to nightstop in Alesund, Norway. Eventhough it was just a short layover (arriving at 5PM and departing the next day at 5AM) I did make the most out of it!

Alesund is almost two hours away from Amsterdam (by plane ofcourse) and is located in the northern part of Norway. It's such a beautiful city which is known for it's Art Nouveau architecture. I walked around for a while and watched the sunset from the top of the hill, which is a popular viewing point.

Because I'm a flight attendant, I don't have a lot of opportunities to look outside the window of the airplane. But this flight wasn't really full, so I had the change to watch the beautiful fjords shortly before landing. Besides that, as you probably already have guessed, I took a bunch of pictures from the citycenter as well. I hope you enjoy Norway as much as I do, I would love to go back :)

Outfit: Whimsical

Hi honeys,

I hope you are all doing fine. I'm definitely enjoying autumn: my roster is getting better and better. Less flying; more time during the nightstops and more days off at home to spend with the ones I love. While summer was beautiful, magical but very hectic as well, it's good that the season is changing.

As I mentioned before, I'm saving money and this has all to do with another holiday coming up. The destination is still unknown but we both would love to go to Cape Town, South Africa. Have you been there before? Are there must see's, besides the table mountain? But everything is still open; so if you know another great destination for just 1 week, please do share!

These pictures were taken two weeks ago, when the autumn actually just kicked in. It was the official 2nd day of fall and the temperature was somewhere around 18 degrees celcius, not too cold but just perfect for this time of the year. So no coats yet, but simple sweaters and lightweight dresses. Easy enough to wear during thrifting, which I love to do during my days off (however, not buying, just looking!)

Budget: Fleamarket treasures

Pull and bear dress (left) € 3,00 // Oasis dress (right) € 3,00

Hi sweethearts,

Two days ago I wrote about the IJhallen fleamarket, where I was a week ago. I found some amazing things, especially dresses, but also some other amazing treasures. I'm all into florals and cute girly stuff nowadays, so that's what you'll see here in my shoplog most frequently.

Have you already been to the Ijhallen before? And have you found some treasures as well? This is thriftshopping heaven to me! Please let me know what you think of my new things!

Outfit: I'll need a little room to sway

Hi dear all,

Lately I'm really into saving as much money as possible. This means that shopping has to be limited to only 1 or 2 items from the thriftstore a month and so I have to make new combinations with stuff that I already have.

So I browsed through my closet and found this beautiful floral shorts from H&M which I bought during the sale last year. I already wore it during my stay in Bologna as you can see here. The sweater is also from last year but it never made it to the blog, untill now. So a little bit of fancy floral combined with burgundy which is perfect for fall! Can't wait for the trees to turn orange! How about you? Already looking forward to autumn?

Budget: My favorite flea market

Hi cuties,

For those of you who have been reading my blog for a long, long time, might have seen this before. I used to be a frequent visitor of one of the biggest fleamarkets in europe: de ijhallen in Amsterdam. I already wrote about it over here and sold a bunch of stuff over there as well.

So to give you a short impression of this huge flea market (750 stalls!) I took some photos while browsing tons and tons of vintage stuff. Lot's of girls my age are selling their stuff and during the years I already found so much beautiful stuff for just a couple of euro.

If you're in Amsterdam, be sure to check out the website of De Ijhallen to check the dates. The fleamarket is usually the first weekend (saturday and sunday) of each new month. During the summer it's bigger, because in the winter the stalls are inside a huge dockhouse. The fleamarket is located at the NDSM werf in the northern part of Amsterdam. It's such a fantastic and crazy location, close to the harbor where many popular festivals are held as well. It's easy accessible by car, bike, public transport and by the little boats which depart behind Amsterdam central station. The entrance fee is € 4,50 per person. And make sure you get your drinks and food from Noorderlicht Cafe with a fantastic view! Besides that, bring a huge bag because this is heaven for all thriftshoppers and vintage lovers!
